In a tragic discovery, the body of a man was found in the River Cray near Nugent Shopping Park in Orpington earlier today, leading to an ongoing investigation by police authorities.
The grim discovery was made shortly before 11:30am on January 8, when police received reports of a body in the River Cray. Officers from the Metropolitan Police, in conjunction with the London Ambulance Service, rushed to the scene to investigate.
Despite the efforts of emergency responders, the man was pronounced dead at the location. Police inquiries are currently in progress to confirm the man’s identity and to notify his family.
