British Transport Police have launched a public appeal to trace the family of a man who died on the railway in Ladywood, Birmingham last month.
At approximately 9.15am on Monday 23 June, emergency services responded to reports of a casualty on the tracks in Birmingham. Despite the efforts of paramedics, the man – identified as 39-year-old Brian Bande – was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident is not being treated as suspicious.
Mr Bande was originally from Zimbabwe, but police say he had links to Birmingham, Wiltshire, Dorset and Bournemouth.
Extensive Search for Next of Kin
Since the tragic incident, officers have been unable to locate any next of kin or family members for Mr Bande. Despite extensive national checks, no relatives have been found to notify of his death.
British Transport Police are now urging the public to assist by sharing information that may help trace Mr Bande’s family or anyone who knew him personally.
