A man has been arrested following a late-night disturbance in Gravesend which led to an armed police response.
Kent Police were called at approximately 1am on Saturday, 19 April, to reports of a disturbance at a residential property on East Terrace, where it was believed a man inside may have been in possession of weapons.
Officers swiftly attended the scene, supported by armed patrols, and arrested a 34-year-old man in connection with the incident.
A spokesperson for Kent Police said:
“Kent Police was called at about 1am on Saturday 19 April 2025 following reports of a disturbance at a property in East Terrace, Gravesend, and that a man inside may have been in possession of weapons.
Officers supported by armed patrols attended the address and a 34-year-old man has been arrested.
Enquiries into the incident are ongoing.”
At this time, no injuries have been reported and the nature of the disturbance has not been confirmed.
