Police Urgently Appealing for Witnesses Following Serious Sexual Assault in Horley
Surrey Police have launched an urgent witness appeal after a serious sexual assault in Horley Recreation Ground earlier today, Monday 26 May 2025.
Officers were called to the park at 4:50pm following a concern for the safety of a woman at the location.
A man in his 30s has been arrested on suspicion of rape and remains in police custody. The woman is being supported by specialist officers.
Appeal for Information from Public
Police are now seeking to speak with anyone who may have been in or around Horley Recreation Ground between 4:30pm and 4:50pm.
“We’re particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed anything suspicious during this time,” said a Surrey Police spokesperson.
