Kent Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage following a serious three-vehicle collision involving two motorcycles and a car on the A2 coastbound near Dartford on Friday, 13 June.
The crash occurred at approximately 4.50pm between Junction 2 of the M25 (Dartford Heath) and Old Bexley Lane.
Two Motorcyclists Injured
Police report that a black Triumph motorcycle and an orange KTM 360 motorcycle collided, resulting in a secondary collision with a green Mini Cooper.
Emergency services, including the South East Coast Ambulance Service, attended the scene. One rider, a man in his 50s, suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to a London hospital, where he remains in serious condition.
The second motorcyclist, a man in his 30s, was taken to a local hospital and is described as being in a stable condition. The drivers’ next of kin have been informed.
Police Seek Witnesses and Dashcam Footage
The Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) is now leading the investigation and has launched a public appeal for witnesses and any dashcam footage that may assist enquiries.
“We are keen to hear from anyone who saw the motorcycles before the crash, or who may have captured the incident on dashcam,” a spokesperson said.
