Appeal for witnesses following stabbing in Woking

Police are appealing for witnesses after a serious assault on Walton Road in Woking early this morning (24 April). At around 00.50am a man in his 20s was involved in an incident that resulted in him suffering a stab wound. The victim has serious injuries and has been taken to hospital for treatment. A section of Walton Road up to Omega Road remains closed to pedestrians. Detective Inspector Jak Bowers said: “This is a serious incident and our enquiries are continuing to establish what exactly occurred. I would ask any members of the community with information relating to the incident in the early hours of this morning to please get in touch.” Anyone who may have witnessed this incident or has any information that could assist the investigation is asked to call Surrey Police on 101 or report online at 1https:///www.surrey.police.uk/contact-us/report-online/ quoting PR/45180042248.
