Wiltshire Police are appealing for witnesses following a road traffic collision on the A303 near Tisbury earlier this morning (28 May).
The incident occurred sometime between 7am and 7:30am when a red Mini Cooper left the westbound junction near Chicklade, overturned, and collided with a tree.
PC Daniel Laurie, from the Roads Policing Unit, expressed concern about the welfare of the driver, who was not present at the scene when emergency services arrived. “This collision caused significant damage and we have concerns about the driver’s welfare, who was not at the scene when we arrived. From the damage to the vehicle, we are concerned that they will need medical attention,” PC Laurie stated.
Police have conducted several enquiries, including checks with local hospitals, but have yet to locate the driver. Authorities are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward as soon as possible.
