Detectives are urgently seeking witnesses after a tragic collision in Biggin Hill on Sunday night. At approximately 23:58 an off-duty police officer discovered a motorbike involved in a collision on Main Road.
Two teenage males received immediate first aid from the London Ambulance Service. Despite their efforts, one of the teens, aged 17, tragically lost his life at the scene. His family has been notified and is receiving support from specialist officers.
The second male was transported to a local hospital, where his injuries were assessed as non-life-threatening. He has been arrested in connection with the incident and is currently in custody at a south London police station. Investigators are diligently working to uncover the full circumstances surrounding the collision.
The Metropolitan Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit, based in Catford, is leading the inquiry. Detectives believe that the motorbike may have been near a car at the time of the collision, but the car did not stop. Efforts are underway to locate the vehicle and its occupants to determine if it played a role in the tragic event.
