Police Scotland are seeking the public’s assistance after two reports of serious sexual assaults on a woman in the Creagorry area of Benbecula. Both incidents involve the same victim, a woman in her 40s.
The first incident occurred between 22.30 on Friday, 8 September, and 03.00 on Saturday, 9 September. The second incident took place between 01.15 and 02.15 on Monday, 18 September. Authorities believe that both incidents were perpetrated by the same unidentified man.
The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall, with a medium build, clean-shaven, greyish-white hair, and an English accent. A comprehensive investigation is currently underway, led by specialist detectives from Police Scotland’s national Public Protection Unit.
Detective Inspector Craig Ross commented on the unusual nature of these incidents in a close-knit island community like Benbecula. He stressed the importance of establishing the full circumstances surrounding these reports and urged anyone with information or who may have witnessed any suspicious activity to come forward.
