Officers from Essex Police are appealing for any information following a suspected assault outside the Oakleigh pub on London Road in Leigh-on-Sea.
Essex Police received reports of the incident at approximately 1 am on Sunday, May 12. According to initial reports, a man sustained head injuries as a result of the assault and was subsequently transported to the hospital by paramedics for further treatment.
Law enforcement officials are now urging individuals who may have been present at the pub or in the surrounding area around the time of the incident to come forward with any relevant information they may possess.
Superintendent Shaun Kane emphasized the seriousness with which the police are treating the incident, stating, “We will not tolerate violent behaviour in our communities, and our investigation into this incident is well underway.
Authorities believe that several individuals may have witnessed the incident or observed events leading up to or following it, and they are urging anyone with potentially crucial details to come forward to assist in establishing a comprehensive understanding of the events that transpired in the early hours of Sunday morning.
