Kent Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage following a fatal collision on the A299 Thanet Way that claimed the life of a man in his 20s and left two others injured.
Details of the Collision
The incident occurred at 6:49pm on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, when a white Fiat Ducato lorry travelling from Saint Nicholas-at-Wade towards London collided with a stationary Iveco Daily road sweeper.
Emergency services, including South East Coast Ambulance Service and Kent Fire and Rescue Service, attended the scene.
Casualties and Injuries
- A passenger in the lorry, a man in his 20s, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.
- The lorry driver, also a man in his 20s, was taken to hospital with serious injuries, where he remains in a stable condition.
- The driver of the road sweeper, a man in his 60s, was treated for minor injuries at a local hospital.
