Wiltshire Police are appealing for witnesses following a fatal multi-vehicle collision on the A303 near Charnage, which occurred on Sunday morning (29 June).
Incident Overview
At approximately 10.30am, a Citroen C5 travelling eastbound on the single carriageway section of the A303 was involved in a crash with three motorcycles.
- One motorcyclist, a man in his 60s, died at the scene.
- A second rider suffered life-changing injuries.
- The third motorcyclist was uninjured.
Arrest and Investigation
A man in his 60s has been arrested on suspicion of:
- Causing death by dangerous driving
- Causing serious injury by dangerous driving
- Drug driving
He remains in police custody as the Serious Collision Investigation Team (SCIT) continues its enquiries.
Witness Appeal
Wiltshire Police are urging anyone who:
- Witnessed the incident
- Has dashcam footage from the area around the time of the crash
to come forward.
