A suspected drug dealer has been charged after officers stopped a car in Broadstairs

Shortly after midnight on Thursday 25 April 2024, two local response officers were on patrol in St Peter’s Road when they saw a vehicle veer into oncoming traffic.

The vehicle was stopped and searched and items including a number of bags of suspected Class A drugs, as well as cannabis, were found and seized.

Following enquiries Desislava Bancheva, of Carlton Road, Manchester was charged on Thursday 25 April 2024 with possessing cocaine with intent to supply, failing to provide a sample for analysis when requested to do so and possession of cannabis.

Ms Bancheva, 28, appeared before Folkestone Magistrates’ Court at an initial hearing on Friday 26 April and was remanded in custody to appear before Canterbury Crown Court on Tuesday 28 May.
