On Monday, July 25, 2022, Kent Police made the arrest after responding to an address on Folkestone Road in the town.
Since then, Barney Buttifint has been charged with two counts of possessing a firearm without a firearm certificate and one count of possessing ammunition in quantities greater than those authorised by a firearm certificate.
The 36-year-old, of Lascelles Road, Dover, appeared before Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 27 July and was remanded in custody until Tuesday 30 August, when he will appear before Canterbury Crown Court.
