A man has been charged with the murder of two people at an address in Stockwell has appeared in court
Daniel Briceno-Garcia, 44 of Dorset Road, SW8 was charged on Thursday, 2 April with two counts of murder. He appeared at Croydon Magistrates’ Court on Friday, 3 April and was remanded into custody.
He will appear next appear at the same court on Friday, 3 June.
Police were called to a residential address in Dorset Road, SW8 at around 16:00hrs on Wednesday, 1 April.
Inside the address, officers found a man and a woman suffering stab injuries – both were pronounced dead at the scene.
They have now been formally identified as married couple, Sonia Teresa Burton Calvi, 56, and Edgar Aguilera Daza, 59 [pictured].
Six people – five men and one woman – were arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder; one man was charged as above; the others have been bailed pending further enquiries.
