10,000 people travel to see The Best of The Best Ripley Firework and Bonfire Display 2017

The Ripley Bonfire is one of the best supported bonfire events in the South East of England. The event took place on the Village Cricket Fields, Green it attracted 10,000 people this year is it’s one hundred and thirty third year. As well as the bonfire and spectacular firework display there was an extensive funfair, food stalls, a bar which has a perfect view of the bonfire and fireworks with live music. The Ripley Bonfire relies on donations from the public and without your support we would not be able to continue with the event. All proceeds go towards the Ripley Over 60’s Club and other local organisations.

_psEmbed(“https:///uknip.photoshelter.com”); Despite the evening being a great success it was also one of sadness: After the close knit group lost of one their close friends, The long time supporter of the Bonfire Ron Gibbs passed away this week. Ron had not been well recently but it was not so long ago that he was out during October with the Bonfire Crew helping to build the bonfire and prepare all the infrastructure. I think that all of the Bonfire boys and girls have a story to tell about Ron. Ron will be sorely missed by all of us at Ripley Bonfire and we wish his family and friends our very, very best at this sad time. We’ll send some Fireworks your way this evening Ron!! If you enjoyed the Ripley Bonfire maybe you would like to help with the of running the event A final message from the chairman ” Once again, thank you for visiting our website and we hope to see you at the next Legendary Ripley Bonfire!” https:///www.youtube.com/watch?v=FtldlGES-C0&feature=youtu.be
