Peacehaven Driver Arrested for Drink-Driving After A26 Crash

Sussex Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a serious collision near Newhaven on Sunday, September 29.

The incident occurred on the A26 at South Heighton around 6:30am and involved two vehicles: a black Audi A3 and a black Kia Sorento. Emergency services were quickly on the scene to attend to those involved.

The driver of the Audi, a 20-year-old man from Peacehaven, was arrested on suspicion of drink driving and was taken to hospital for treatment of his injuries. The driver of the Kia, a 45-year-old man from Horam, was also transported to the hospital for medical attention.

Police are now conducting an investigation and have urged any potential witnesses to come forward, particularly anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage that captured the vehicles around the time of the collision.
