Police are appealing for witnesses after a 22-year-old man was found with stab wounds following a serious assault believed to have occurred near Three Bridges railway station.

Emergency services were called at around 4.30am on Thursday, 19 June, after the man was discovered injured on Valley Drive, Crawley. He told officers he had been attacked earlier that night at the train station, with the suspect reportedly fleeing in the direction of Somerley Drive.

Victim Hospitalised as Police Hunt Attacker

The man was treated by paramedics at the scene before being transported to hospital, where he remains in a stable condition. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

An armed response unit and other officers conducted an extensive search of the area, but no arrests have been made. A visible police presence remains in the community while investigations continue.

Appeal for CCTV and Dashcam Footage

Sussex Police believe the assault occurred between midnight and 4.30am, and are urging members of the public who were in the area to come forward.

“We’re keen to speak with anyone who may have been in Valley Drive or Somerley Drive during the early hours of Thursday morning,” a Sussex Police spokesperson said.

They are especially interested in any CCTV or dashcam footage that might assist in identifying the suspect or clarifying the events leading up to the assault.
