Wiltshire Police have arrested two men following a serious assault that left a man in his 20s with a head injury in Amesbury.
The incident occurred around 11:45pm on Thursday, May 1, on Mill Green Road.
Victim Hospitalised With Serious Injuries
Emergency services were called after a report from the ambulance service.
The victim was found to have suffered a serious head injury and was transported to hospital for treatment.
Fortunately, his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
Arrests Made Following Enquiries
Following rapid police enquiries:
- A 28-year-old man and a 22-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm (GBH) with intent.
- The 22-year-old was further arrested for possession of a Class A drug, drug driving, and harassment in connection with a separate incident in Hampshire.
Police confirmed drugs were found concealed in his sock during the arrest.
Both men currently remain in police custody for further questioning.

Wiltshire Police are urging any witnesses to the incident to come forward.
