A man in his 30s has sustained potentially life-changing head injuries following an assault in Barking during the early hours of Christmas Eve.
Police were called to Salisbury Avenue at around 2:00 AM on Tuesday, 24 December, after receiving reports of an attack. Officers and paramedics from the London Ambulance Service attended the scene and provided treatment to the injured man before transporting him to the hospital.
Medical professionals have assessed the victim’s injuries as potentially life-altering, though he is reported to be in a stable condition.
A crime scene was established as investigators began their work to identify the attacker. No arrests have been made, and police are actively appealing for information.
