A man has been taken to the hospital with a serious head injury following a suspected dispute over a car sale in Dagenham, prompting the Metropolitan Police to launch an investigation for grievous bodily harm (GBH).

Emergency services were called to Marlborough Road shortly after 10:15 am on Thursday, April 17, where officers closed off the area and established a crime scene.

London Ambulance Service paramedics treated the injured man at the scene before taking him to hospital, where he remains.

The Metropolitan Police have confirmed an investigation is underway and a crime scene remains in place as officers continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the altercation.
