Lorry crash sparks early morning chaos

A lorry flipped on the A350 close to Morrisons just before 2am today (17/10), leaving the driver trapped and emergency services scrambling to the scene.

Road closed amid tricky recovery operation

The stretch between Morrisons and the nearby petrol station was shut down while crews worked to clear the wreckage. The complex recovery has kept the road closed throughout the morning, frustrating commuters.

Driver held on drink and drug driving suspicions

Police arrested a man in his 40s at the scene. He’s now in custody in Melksham pending questioning over alleged drink and drug driving.

Investigations are ongoing. Anyone with information should call 101 quoting log 21 of today’s incident.
