Wiltshire Police say the break-in happened sometime between 2am and 6am, with the criminals gaining access to the property, swiping car keys, and making off with the vehicle from a private car park behind the house.

The stolen Golf R is a prized and high-performance model, making it a prime target for car thieves.

Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward

Officers are appealing to anyone who saw suspicious activity in the Priory Street area or who has information that could help with their investigation.

A spokesperson said:

“If you have any information, please email [email protected], quoting reference number 54250055004.
Alternatively, information can be passed anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Ongoing Concerns Over Vehicle Theft

This latest theft follows similar patterns where thieves target specific vehicles, often stealing them within minutes once gaining access to keys.
