Emergency Rush to Yatton Keynell
At around 3pm on Sunday, emergency services were called to street/”>The Street, just north of yatton-keynell/”>Yatton Keynell near chippenham-wales/”>chippenham/”>Chippenham. A cyclist collapsed on the quiet country lane, going into cardiac arrest. The victim’s age and gender have not been disclosed.
Air Ambulance Touches Down in Nearby Field
Two ambulance crews, an ambulance officer, and a critical care team — including a doctor from Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance — were dispatched immediately. The yellow and green helicopter landed in a field right next to the scene, close to Yatton Keynell Water Tower.
Road Closure and Life-Saving Treatment
Police shut the road in both directions as paramedics worked tirelessly to stabilise the cyclist. Once stable, the patient was airlifted to Bristol Royal Infirmary for urgent care. The road reopened just before 5pm.
