Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious assault outside the Liden Arms pub in Swindon in the early hours of Monday morning.

The incident occurred just after midnight when a man was struck over the head with an object, resulting in a serious head injury that required hospital treatment.

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm (GBH) with intent. One of the suspects has been released on bail, while the other remains in custody as investigations continue.
