A man has been arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle after a pursuit from Blunsdon to Highworth
Cocaine has been found inside a car after patrolling officers signalled for the driver to stop in Rochester

In the early hours of this morning (5/4), officers were in the Tadpole Garden Village area carrying out searches about an unrelated matter when they spotted a BMW being driven with no lights on.

They attempted to stop the vehicle, but it failed to stop and a pursuit was authorised which continued into Highworth before the vehicle came to a stop on the A361.

A man in his 20s from Swindon was arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle after enquiries were made with the registered owner of the vehicle who had not been aware the vehicle had been stolen from outside his home until police contact.

The man remains in custody at Gablecross for questioning.
