Police in Birmingham are investigating an attempted abduction of a six-year-old girl from St Bernard’s Grange Pub on Barrows Lane in Sheldon and have issued a picture appeal to trace a suspect.

The incident occurred between 7:00 PM and 8:00 PM on 1 February, when a man reportedly persuaded the girl to leave with him from the pub. However, he was soon challenged by the girl’s father, after which he left the premises alone. Fortunately, the girl was not harmed.

Suspect Description

West Midlands Police have released an image of a man they wish to speak to in connection with the case. He is described as:

  • Aged in his 30s
  • Approximately 6ft 2in – 6ft 3in tall
  • Wearing a black beanie and a black jacket

Police Appeal for Information

A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said:

“Do you know this man? We want to speak to him after the attempted abduction of a girl aged six in Birmingham.

“We’ve been carrying out a number of enquiries since it happened and are asking for anyone with information to get in touch.”
