Met Police Urgently Appeal for Help to Locate Missing Camden Resident

Police have launched an urgent appeal to find Bashir Marhoon, a vulnerable 35-year-old man who has been missing for two days from Russell Square, Camden. He was last seen at his residence by carers at 6pm on Saturday, May 24.

Bashir is described as 5ft 8in tall, of medium build, with black hair. He was last seen wearing a navy baseball-style shirt with a red logo, dark navy jogging bottoms, and black trainers. He walks with a limp and is known to engage with strangers.

Concerns for Safety

According to Metropolitan Police, Bashir “lacks the capacity to fully understand what he may be doing,” which heightens the urgency of the search.

Detective Chief Inspector Sarb Kaur from the Central North Command said:

“We are very worried about Bashir’s safety and urge anyone who may have seen him to contact police. Please approach Bashir with care—he may be confused and suffers from learning difficulties.”

Family’s Emotional Plea

His mother, Faridah Marhoon, added:

“We are very worried as he is very vulnerable and often rides trains and buses to the end of the line. He loves public transport and may be travelling around London using his Oyster card.”

How You Can Help

Bashir is known to frequent public transport and may be traveling across London. The public is urged to check CCTV footage, dash cams, and report any sightings immediately.

Police and family are growing increasingly anxious as time passes.
