Two children, aged 11 and 13, were rushed to the Royal Hospital for Children in Edinburgh with serious injuries following a collision involving a Volkswagen T-Cross on Bog Road, Penicuik.

Incident Details

The crash occurred around 3:20 p.m. on Sunday, 19 January 2025, and involved three children aged 11, 12, and 13. Emergency services responded to the scene, where:

  • An 11-year-old boy and a 13-year-old girl were taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
  • A 12-year-old girl involved in the collision was uninjured.

The road was temporarily closed to allow collision investigators to examine the area.
