South Yorkshire Police are urging members of the public to come forward with any information regarding a robbery incident involving a takeaway delivery driver in Armthorpe over the weekend. The incident occurred on Saturday, and investigators are seeking witnesses to assist with their inquiries.

According to the report, the incident took place at approximately 20.00 BST when the delivery driver arrived at an address where no order had been made. The driver parked in a layby on Armthorpe Road, near Sandall Beat Lane, in order to contact the customer. During this time, three teenagers approached the delivery van and opened the passenger side door. Seizing the opportunity, they snatched the food and attempted to steal cash and the victim’s mobile phone. The assailants then fled along Sandall Beat Lane.

The suspects are described as white teenage boys aged around 16 to 18, with stocky builds. One of the individuals is reported to have ginger hair.

Law enforcement officials are keen to speak with anyone who was in the vicinity at the time of the incident and may have witnessed the events unfold. If you have any information that could aid the investigation, please contact the police by dialling 101
