Kent Police have issued a CCTV appeal after a shocking incident at a Tesco store in Faversham, where a security staff member was reportedly threatened with a knuckle duster and subjected to racist abuse.

The incident occurred around 11.20pm on Friday, 20 June 2025, at the supermarket on Crescent Road. Police say two men entered the store and were acting suspiciously when challenged by a member of the store’s security team.

It is alleged that one of the men then produced a knuckle duster and made racially aggravated threats against the victim, before both suspects fled the scene with a basket full of stolen goods.

Police Investigation

Kent Police are now seeking to identify the two men shown in the CCTV images in connection with the incident. Officers are treating the case as a racially aggravated theft and threat with an offensive weapon.

Anyone who recognises the men in the images or who may have witnessed the incident is urged to contact police.
