Kent Fire and Rescue Service responded to a bathroom fire at a residential property on Redland Avenue, Tunbridge Wells, on Sunday, December 1, 2024. The incident was reported at 10:02 PM, and crews successfully extinguished the fire by 11:56 PM.

Incident Details

Two fire engines were dispatched to the scene. Firefighters, equipped with breathing apparatus, used a dry powder extinguisher to put out the flames. Following the extinguishment, a high-pressure ventilation fan was deployed to clear smoke from the property.

Cause of the Fire

The fire is believed to have started from a fuse box located in the bathroom. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries, and the situation was managed swiftly by the attending crews.

An electrical safety engineer from UK Power Networks also attended to assess and address any electrical hazards.
