Carl Thompson, aged 22, of Glimmer Way, Wainscott, was sentenced on 14 February 2022 at Sevenoaks Magistrates’ Court. He pleaded guilty to driving above the legal drug-drive limit, use of a motor vehicle in a condition likely to cause danger or injury and driving without insurance, in Halling, on 14 September 2021. When stopped he gave a reading greater than 800 microgrammes of Benzoylecgonine in one litre of blood. The legal limit is 50 microgrammes. He also gave a reading of 32 microgrammes of Cocaine in one litre of blood. The legal limit is 10 microgrammes. He was disqualified from driving for a total of 18 months and fined £460. He was also ordered to pay a £76 surcharge and costs of £160.
