Robert Davanzo, 28, of Molehill Green, Dunmow (Essex) and a 16-year-old boy from Braintree, were charged with conspiracy to burgle following an investigation by the Chief Constable’s Crime Squad.

The burglary charge relates to four break-ins on Wednesday 16 February 2022 where cash and jewellery was reported stolen from properties in Willesborough, Greatstone and Hythe.

The charge also relates to a report of a car and car keys stolen from Hawkins Road in Folkestone on Monday 21 February.

The pair were further charged with driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence, and driving without insurance.

Mr Davanzo will also face a count of dangerous driving.

They appeared at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Friday 25 February where they were remanded to a hearing at Canterbury Crown Court on 28 March.
