Detectives investigating an assault in Brighton have charged a woman with attempted murder. 
Officers were called to Ryelands Drive shortly after 12 midnight on Saturday (10 October) to a report of an assault where a man was threatened with a knife. 
The victim – a man in his twenties – suffered minor injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.
Sophie George, 18, of Highbrook Close, Brighton, was charged with attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon in a public. 

She appeared before Brighton Magistrates’ Court on Monday (12 October) and was remanded in custody to appear at Crown Court on 9 November.
