Andy Koseda, 54  of no fixed address, appeared at Snaresbrook Crown Court on Thursday, 5 May where he was sentenced to two years and six months imprisonment for threatening a person with a knife in a public place, racially aggravated harassment, criminal damage, possession of a knife and using threatening words to cause harassment.

Koseda had pleaded guilty at an earlier hearing.

Officers responded to a call to the Westfield shopping centre in Stratford on Tuesday, 15 February, where Koseda had caused criminal damage to property by carving swastikas into the walls with a knife.

On arrest, he was also racially abusive and threatening towards officers.
