Young Man Dies After Serious Incident at Dreamland Margate
A young man has tragically died following a serious incident at the Dreamland amusement park in Margate on Saturday afternoon (June 28).
Emergency services were called to the popular seaside attraction shortly after 5pm.
A spokesperson for the South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb) confirmed that paramedics attended the scene and transported one patient to hospital in a “very serious condition.”
“I can confirm that we attended Dreamland yesterday evening and a patient was taken to the QEQM [Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother Hospital] in a very serious condition,” the spokesperson said. “We won’t be providing further details.”
Despite the efforts of emergency crews, the young man later died in hospital.
Kent Police have yet to issue a formal statement regarding the nature of the incident, and it remains unclear whether there are any ongoing investigations or circumstances surrounding the death.
Dreamland, which had been hosting a range of summer events, has not yet commented publicly. Visitors reported a sudden police presence at the site and said parts of the venue were cordoned off.
Locals have expressed shock and sadness over the incident, with tributes already being shared online for the young man involved.

UPDATE:Kent Police was made aware of a report that a man in his 20s, who was taken to hospital following a medical incident at Dreamland in Margate on the afternoon of Saturday 28 June 2025, subsequently died.
Officers are making enquiries into the circumstances of the death which is not believed to be suspicious. A report is being prepared for the coroner
