Shannon Cook, previously jailed for her role in a brutal stabbing outside a busy Whitstable pub, has been added to Kent Police’s most-wanted list as authorities seek to recall her to prison.
Cook, who was sentenced to two-and-a-half years in May 2023, is wanted on recall after breaching the terms of her release. She was convicted for her involvement in the violent attack outside the Duke of Cumberland pub on Whitstable High Street, where victim Jack Bardrick was stabbed multiple times in front of his terrified girlfriend.
The Attack That Shocked Whitstable
The incident, which occurred shortly after midnight on May 14, 2022, began when Cook confronted Mr. Bardrick and his friends outside the pub on Horsebridge Road. According to trial testimony, Cook made provocative comments that sparked a verbal altercation.
Moments later, Cook phoned her then-boyfriend, Lewis Jones, falsely claiming she had been assaulted. Jones, along with his cousin Bradley Jones and accomplice Alfie Scott, quickly arrived at the scene in a Land Rover, escalating the situation into a violent assault.

CCTV footage shown during the trial captured the horrifying sequence of events as Lewis Jones launched into a frenzied attack, punching and kicking Mr. Bardrick. Alfie Scott joined the assault, stabbing Mr. Bardrick multiple times, leaving him with deep gashes to his face and puncture wounds to his back.
Meanwhile, Cook was seen restraining Mr. Bardrick’s girlfriend, Georgina McKinnon, who pleaded with the attackers to stop.
The victim later told the court that the attack left him unable to eat solid food for a week due to facial injuries. His girlfriend described feeling “completely broken” by the ordeal.
The Sentencing
During sentencing in 2023:
- Shannon Cook, formerly of Brook Road, was sentenced to two-and-a-half years in prison after being found guilty of unlawful wounding but acquitted of the more serious charge of wounding with intent.
- Alfie Scott, of Stodmarsh Road, Fordwich, was deemed dangerous and sentenced to 13 years in prison.
- Lewis Jones, also previously of Brook Road, Swalecliffe, was handed a sentence of eight years and six months.
