The arrest related to an investigation into a number of social media posts of an extremist nature. However, the woman was further arrested this morning on suspicion of offences under section 57 and 58 of the Terrorism Act 2006. She was detained under PACE and currently remains in police custody. The investigation is being led by officers from the Met’s Counter Terrorism Command. Enquiries continue.
