Emergency services rushed to Waltham Way in Chingford on Thursday evening, 5 December, after reports of a tree collapsing onto a car near the local rugby club. The incident occurred just after 7:30 p.m., trapping a woman inside her Volvo vehicle.
Firefighters, police officers from the Metropolitan Police, and paramedics from the London Ambulance Service all responded to the scene. Thanks to the excellent safety features of the Volvo, the woman is understood to have escaped serious injury.
