A 43-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of murder after two children were found dead at a house on Corporation Street, Stafford. Emergency services were called at around 7:30am Sunday following an urgent alert from West Midlands Ambulance Service.

Staffordshire Police confirmed the children were pronounced dead at the scene, sparking shock across the local community.

Police Launch Murder Investigation

Detective Inspector Kirsty Oldfield said: “We are working hard to understand more about what happened leading up to these two children tragically losing their lives.”

“We ask that people do not speculate at this stage as it is distressing for family and friends and could hinder our enquiries.”

She reassured residents there is no wider threat to the public amid the investigation.
