Witnesses Sought After Two-Vehicle Collision in Aylesford

Kent Police are calling for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision that occurred early Friday morning on London Road, Aylesford.

The incident, reported at 7:00 AM on 26 July 2024, involved a green Ford Focus and a white Ford Transit Connect near the junction of New Road. Emergency services, including patrols from Kent Police and South East Coast Ambulance Service, responded promptly to the scene.

A man in his 30s was critically injured in the collision and was airlifted to a London hospital for urgent medical care. Additionally, a man in his 20s was transported to a local hospital as a precaution.

Subsequent to the collision, a 24-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of driving while unfit through drink or drugs. He is currently being held in custody as investigations continue.

Authorities are urging anyone who witnessed the collision or has any relevant dashcam or private CCTV footage to come forward. Witnesses or those with useful footage are asked to contact Kent Police immediately by calling 999, quoting the reference number 26-0156.
