Wiltshire Police Appeal for Witnesses Following Hit and Run Involving Child in Potterne

 

Wiltshire Police are appealing for witnesses after a hit-and-run incident involving an 8-year-old boy in Potterne. The collision occurred at approximately 8:20am on October 4 along Blackberry Lane, when a car struck the child’s bike, causing him to fall.

The driver did not stop and sped away from the scene.

The young boy sustained several injuries, including a head injury, though they are not thought to be life-threatening. He was treated by ambulance staff.

The vehicle involved in the incident is believed to be a navy or green VW Polo or Golf.

Police are urging anyone who witnessed the event or has any information that could assist in the investigation to contact them on 101, quoting reference number 54240116975.
