Police recover Knife: Man Stabbed in West Ham Park as Police Launch Investigation

A man has been taken to hospital after being stabbed in West Ham Park, Newham, prompting a major police response and the closure of the park.


Police and Ambulance Called to the Scene

Metropolitan Police confirmed they were called by the London Ambulance Service at 10:54am on Tuesday, July 29, after reports of a man with stab wounds in the park.

The victim, a 33-year-old man, was taken to hospital. Police say his injuries are not life-threatening.

A knife was recovered from the scene.


Park Closed as Crime Scene Established

West Ham Park has been closed as a temporary measure while a crime scene remains in place.

No arrests have been made at this stage, and detectives are continuing their enquiries.

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said:

“The park has been closed as a temporary measure as a crime scene remains in place. No arrests have been made.”
