Weapons and Drugs Seized Following Arrest in Dartford

A significant haul of weapons and drugs has been recovered by police following the arrest of a man in Dartford over the weekend.

Patrol officers were alerted to suspicious behaviour on Green Street Green Road in the early hours of Saturday, 22 February 2025. Acting swiftly, officers stopped and searched a 27-year-old man from the local area, seizing a quantity of cannabis, deal bags, and two mobile phones. The man was arrested on suspicion of possession of a class B drug with intent to supply.

Further investigations led officers to search a nearby property, where they uncovered a large cache of dangerous weapons, including several knives, an extendable baton, and a knuckle duster. Following this discovery, the suspect was further arrested on additional offences related to weapons possession.

Chief Inspector Will Lay praised the officers involved, stating, “The weapons that my officers recovered have no place in our communities. We are committed to stamping out violent crime and drugs misuse in Kent, and by taking items such as these off the streets, we continue to make our county a safer place in which to live, visit, and work.”

The man remains in custody as investigations continue. Kent Police have reaffirmed their commitment to targeting drug-related crime and the possession of offensive weapons, which are often linked to wider issues of violence and anti-social behaviour.

Local residents have been encouraged to report any suspicious activity in their area to the police. Anyone with information can contact Kent Police on 101 or report anonymously via Crimestoppers at 0800 555 111.

The operation marks another step in Kent Police’s ongoing efforts to tackle crime and ensure the safety of the Dartford community.
