Ruislip Motorcyclist Dies in Fatal Crash on A4 Colnbrook Bypass

A motorcyclist has died following a collision with a lorry trailer on the A4 Colnbrook Bypass, also known locally as Lakeside Road.

Emergency services were called to the scene around midday on Sunday, 31 August after a red Triumph motorcycle was involved in a crash with a lorry trailer.

Despite the efforts of paramedics, the rider — a 47-year-old man from Ruislip — was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police appeal

Thames Valley Police confirmed no arrests have been made and an investigation is under way.

Investigating officer PC Mark Dunne, from the Roads Policing Unit, said:

“Firstly, I want to offer my deepest condolences to the family of the man who sadly died in this collision.

I am appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time to please check their dash-cam footage, in case they captured the collision or the moments leading up to it.

Road closures

The A4 Colnbrook Bypass was closed for several hours while collision investigators worked at the scene. Delays were reported in and around Lakeside Road and nearby routes.
