Urgent Appeal: Search Underway for Missing Man Gary Richardson After Leaving London Hospital

An urgent search is underway for 58-year-old Gary Richardson, who has gone missing after leaving Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital in London earlier today.

Gary had attended the hospital after feeling unwell, but left the premises before his family arrived. Both his loved ones and hospital staff have raised serious concerns for his welfare, prompting a police appeal.

Description

Gary is described as:

  • 5ft 10 to 11 inches tall
  • Of stocky build
  • Has a London accent
  • Walks slowly due to leg issues
  • Has numerous tattoos, including:
    • West Ham United designs
    • London landmarks
    • A name tattooed on his forearm

Police Appeal

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said:

“This is a renewed appeal to help locate Gary Richardson. His welfare is a priority, and we are urging members of the public to be on the lookout. If you see Gary, please do not approach him directly — instead, call 999 immediately quoting CAD 8277/08Jul25.”

The public may recognise Gary from a previous missing persons appeal, but police stress this is a new and time-sensitive request for assistance.

How to Help

If you have any information or sightings, you are asked to contact emergency services via 999 without delay. Time may be critical to ensuring Gary’s safety.
