Armed officers from the Metropolitan police “Trojan”  along with response officers were scrambled to Moorland Road in Borough of  Lambeth just after 10:30 pm on Friday,  (December 9th) following reports of a person being shot by a weapon.

Paramedics from the London Ambulance Service also called to assist officers at a property that has been surrounded by armed officers.

The incident happened yards from a primary school on Moorland road

  A search dog can be seen in the street with his handler

A large number of residents have been stopped from returning to their properties.

A large crime scene remains in place. A spokesman for the Met Police said:  Officers are investigating shots fired in the Moorland Road area of Brixton just after 10pm last night. Nobody was taken to the hospital; there has been no arrest. Any witnesses yet to speak with police, please call 101 (ref 7321/09) or contact Crimestoppers anonymously.
