Authorities in Lincolnshire are appealing for public assistance to identify a man who collapsed in a McDonald’s restaurant in Boston and later died in hospital. The man, believed to be between 55 and 65 years old, had been living as a known homeless person in the area. He called himself “Elliott” and was reportedly from Carlisle, having spent some time living in Holland. His body was found on April 11, 2018, and his estimated date of death is April 16, 2018.
“Elliott” was described as a white European male, approximately 165 cm to 168 cm (5 ft 4 ins to 5 ft 6 ins) tall, with a medium build. He had grey, wavy, collar-length hair, and stubble, and wore distinctive clothing at the time of his death. He was dressed in black jeans from ‘Next’ (size 32L), a pair of blue trainers (size 6), a black leather belt, a multi-coloured scarf, and a black baseball cap. He also had a single black glove on one hand. Among his personal belongings were a black Sekonda watch with a leather strap, a William Hill betting slip, a cigarette lighter, tobacco, cash, and a homeless shelter card.
Despite extensive enquiries, including attempts to trace his background from Carlisle and Holland, the man remains unidentified. Authorities have released a portrait image taken when he was stable in the hospital in hopes that someone might recognize him and help establish his identity.
Anyone with information about “Elliott” or who may have known him during his time in Boston or elsewhere is encouraged to come forward. The police are asking witnesses or those with any knowledge of his identity to contact them.
