HIT AND RUN Two Years On, Widow’s Heartbreak Over Unsolved Hit-and-Run Tragedy

Jaroslaw Jadwidzic, 46, Killed in Mysterious Southall Crash

Jaroslaw Jadwidzic was just 46 when a hit-and-run left his widow drowning in grief two years ago. The tragic accident, still unsolved, saw him fatally struck by a parked van after a black Mercedes reportedly sped through a bus stop in Southall.

How the Crash Unfolded

  • The black Mercedes overtook a bus on Uxbridge Road, near the junction with Greenford Road.
  • The Mercedes slammed into a parked van next to the Iron Bridge bus stop.
  • The impact caused the van to hit Jaroslaw, who was working at the bus stop around 5:50am on October 15, 2023.

Jaroslaw was rushed to hospital with critical injuries but tragically died nine days later. Shockingly, both the driver and a passenger fled the scene before police arrived. The men are still at large.

Widow’s Pain and Plea for Justice

“The death of Jaroslaw has had a huge impact on my life because I lost one of the most important people to me,” said wife Mariola Jadwidzic. “What I feel every day is indescribable. I want justice for what happened and for those responsible to admit to what they have done. If you know or saw what happened, please come forward and tell the police.”

Police Renew Urgent Appeal for Witnesses

Detective Sergeant Nush Puvitharan from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit said:

“Our thoughts are with the loved ones of Jaroslaw who are still waiting for answers around this death. Investigators have been working on this for two years to try and piece together the details leading up to the collision. There were members of the public in the area at the time who haven’t spoken to us. We urge anyone who witnessed anything, no matter how small, to come forward. It could make all the difference.”
